What's the difference between FrontPage and Internet Explorer?

FrontPage is a web editor, which is a program that is used to create and modify web pages. Within FrontPage, you can view and edit your website.

Internet Explorer is a web browser, which is a program that is used only to view web pages. Unlike FrontPage, however, you can not make changes to the pages you are viewing with a web browser.

It may be helpful to keep in mind that there are several web browsers and several web editors. Here are some examples you've probably heard of:

Web Browsers Web Editors
Microsoft Internet Explorer
Netscape Navigator
Mozilla
Microsoft FrontPage
Macromedia DreamWeaver
Adobe GoLive
