Herrick Center for Speech and Theatre
At Herrick Center for
Speech and Theatre, you may be greeted by the sounds of hammering as a new set goes up for
the latest Albion College Players production or of student actors in a drama workshop led
by film actor Jeff Daniels and members of his Purple Rose Theatre Company.
The Herrick Center includes classrooms for the College's Department of Speech
Communication and Theatre as well as two theatres: a proscenium arch auditorium and a
'black box' experimental space. The four major productions staged each year cover a wide
variety of periods and styles.
