Burns Street Apartments
Burns Street Apartments are College-owned apartments for junior- and senior-level students (both male and female) interested in living in a more independent environment. Located at the corner of Clark and Burns streets, these two-person, one-bathroom apartments house 46 students (gender-specific).
Residents are responsible for the housekeeping in their individual apartments.
There are a total of 15 traditional apartments and eight studio-like (efficiency) apartments. Apartments are furnished with two loveseats, a coffee table, cable TV hookup, and a dining room table and chairs. Each apartment has a kitchen equipped with a stove, sink with garbage disposal, and a refrigerator. Students should plan to bring their own cookware, dishware, and silverware.
The laundry complex is located in the 1220 Building, in the spot where Apartment A would be. Laundry appliances have been upgraded but still require coins (quarters) to operate. The rate is $1.25 to wash and $1.25 to dry.
During Room Selection, students must apply in groups of two (same gender) for this housing option.
Each bedroom is equipped with a bed, dresser, desk and chair, bookcase/shelf, and access to the Network per resident. Each room has cable television hookup, a phone, and mini-blinds. All College furniture must remain in the apartment for the duration of the academic year.
Students are not allowed to build their own lofts.
College Board Plan
Students residing in this housing option are not required to be on the College Board Plan. If desired, students assigned to Burns Street Apartments may purchase the College Board Plan by contacting the Office of Residential Life.
