January 24th

2:02 am ALCOHOL VIOLATION: Incident occurred at Wesley Hall. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

January 26th

2:25 am ILLEGAL DRUG VIOLATION: Incident occurred at Alpha Tau Omega. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

10:15 pm SUSPICIOUS VECHILE: A vehicle was seen stopping in front of different buildings on campus but no one was getting in or out of the vehicle. Before it could be identified, the vehicle left campus. Disp: Cleared.

January 27th

2:15 am FIGHT: Incident involved two non-students outside Sigma Nu. Disp: Cleared.

4:14 am ASSIST ADPS: City Officers were looking for a student who did not pay for gas. She was located, taken to the gas station and she paid for the gas. Disp:Cleared. 

11:10 pm LARCENY: A student reported that clothing had been taken from the Wesley Hall laundry room. Disp: Inactive.

January 28th

10:25 pm SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: There was a report of a possible marijuana smell in Whitehouse Hall. Officers found that there was a strong smell of cologne in the stairwell. Disp: Cleared.

January 29th

10:46 am SUSPICIOUS PERSON: A report of two people in Kresge Gym, who do not belong there. Officers found it was two high school students. They complied and left campus. Disp: Cleared.

9:29 pm ILLEGAL DRUG VIOLATION: Incident occurred in Whitehouse Hall. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

January 30th

6:48 pm SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: A computerwas missing from the Art Building. It was later found that someone had put it in a box and hadn't let anyone else know about it. Disp: Unfounded.

January 31st

2:37 am NOISE COMPLAINT: A report of loud noise at Briton Apartments. Officers arrived and found the building quiet. Disp: Cleared.

10:26 am VEHICLE ACCIDENT: A student drove another students vehicle onto the boulders near the railroad tracks. There did not appear to be any vehicle damage. Closed (Administrative).

1:20 am MALICIOUS ALARM ACTIVATION: Incident occurred at Sigma Chi.Disp: Inactive.

February 3rd

11:23 pm SMOKE/ODOR INVESTIGATION:A report of a possible gas odor near the elevator in Vulgamore Hall Officers were unable to detect any odor. Disp: Unfounded.

February 5th

6:25 pm NOISE COMPLAINT: A report of loud music in Whitehouse Hall. Officers found the room and spoke with the resident. He complied and turned down the music. Disp: Cleared. 

February 9th

5:05 am FIRE EXTINGUISHER/MALICIOUS DISCHARGE: Incident occurred in Wesley Hall. Disp: Inactive.

9:44 pm SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: A report of a room inWhitehouse Hall that always smelled of marijuana. There is no smell right now, but there are alot of people in the room. Officers found everything alright. Disp: Cleared.

February 10th

1:28 am NOISE COMPLAINT: A report of loud noise in Mitchell Towers. Officers spoke with the occupants of the room and warned them to quiet down. Disp: Cleared.

4:08 am NOISE COMPLAINT: A report of someone knocking on windows at Briton Apartments, trying to get in. Officers arrived but found no one around the building. Disp: Cleared.

8:09 am SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: There was a car on Erie Street, with the engine running for about 2 hours. There was nothing to show who the driver was. Officers checked buildings in the area. When Officers went back to the car, it had been turned off. Disp: Unfounded.

8:16 pm SMOKE/ODOR INVESTIGATION: A report of the possible smell of propane at the Equestrian Center. Officers resolved the problem. Disp: Cleared.

February 11th

10:24 am VEHICLE ACCIDENT: A call from a student that reported hearing a vehicle hit another vehicle in Lot 8, then drive off. The damaged vehicle belonged to a student. Disp: Cleared.

1:57 pm LARCENY: A student reported medication had been taken from his room in Mitchell Towers. Disp: Inactive.

February 13th

6:20 pm FIRE: Officers found a pile of garbage on fire in the dirt near the Nature Center Building. Officers were able to put it out with the water and mud in the driveway. Disp: Inactive.

February 14th

9:26 pm SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: A report of a "hot, burning smell" inside the Tennis Center. Oficers arrived and found tennis balls in the heating tubes that were heating up and causing the burning smell. The tennis balls were removed. Disp: Cleared.

February 15th

4:14 am NOISE COMPLAINT: A report of loud noise in Whitehouse Hall. Officers spoke with the occupants and they said they would be quiet for the rest of the night. Disp: Cleared

February 16th

12:43 am VEHICLE ACCIDENT: A student reported she had backed into a vehicle that was not parked in an actual parking spot, in Lot 4. Disp: Cleared.

2:24 pm MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: Officers found the downspout on the side of the Visual Arts Annex had been damaged and appears to have been caused by an individual. Disp: Inactive.

February 17th

1:07 am MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: A brick was thrown through a window at Delta Sigma Phi. Disp: Inactive.

February 18th

5:17 pm ILLEGAL DRUG VIOLATION: Incident occurred at Wesley Hall. Disp: closed (Administrative).

8:28 pm MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: A student reported a mirror had been broken off her vehicle while parked in Lot 14. Disp: Inactive.

9:33 pm ILLEGAL DRUG VIOLATION: There was a report of the smell of marijuana coming through the vents in a room in Whitehouse Hall. Officers were unable to locate where it was coming from. Disp: Cleared.

February 20th

8:44 pm SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: A report from the Dow that someone in Lot 25might be siphoning gas. An officer was in the area and there was no vehiclein the area that fit the description given. Disp: Cleared.

February 21st

1:07 pm MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: A mirror was damaged on a students vehicle, while parked in Lot 14. Disp: Inactive.

February 22nd

12:29 am NOISE COMPLAINT: A report of loud music at Whitehouse Hall. The music stopped before officers arrived. Disp: Cleared.

8:04 am SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: A car door was found open and there was no one around while parked in Lot 28.An officer shut the door and a message was left for the student. Disp: Cleared.

7:25 pm ILLEGAL DRUG VIOLATION: Incident occurredin Whitehouse Hall. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

9:04 pm SUSPICIOUS PERSON: The library workers called because they thought a student might be hiding so that she didn't have to leavewhen they closed. Dispatch checked the cameras as the student was seen leaving just before closing. The library was notified. Disp: Unfounded.

February 27th

4:10 pm SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: A student reported his cell phone had been stolen. A short time later he called to say he had found the phone. Disp: Unfounded.

9:12 pm NOISE COMPLAINT: A report from Mitchell Towers that there was a loud noise coming from the vents and heard throughout the building. Officers found it was coming from the boiler system. Disp: Cleared.

10:15 pm NOISE COMPLAINT: A report from Mitchell Towers that there was a loud noise. The student moved to another room for the night. Disp: Cleared.

March2nd

12:22 am SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: Officers noticed a vehicle in Lot 4, that had been runing for awhile with the people still inside. Officers spoke with the people and everything was alright. Disp: Cleared.

10:12 am SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: Officers noticed a bumper on the ground, behind a car in Lot 8. Officers could not find a car in the lot that was missing a bumper, so this might be a prank. Disp: Unfounded.

10:52 pm MALICIOUS ALARM ACTIVATION: Incident occurred in Whitehouse Hall. Disp: Inactive.

March 3rd

6:50 pm LARCENY: A student reported her textbooks missing from the library. Disp: Closed (Criminal).

March 6th

4:46 pm IRRESPONSIBLE STUDENT ACTION: An employee reported that someone threw an orange from the walkway between Baldwin and Whitehouse, and almost hit her in the head. This was not the first occurance. Disp: Inactive.

March 7th

8:18 am HARASSMENT: A report that a male had yelled inappropriate comments to her as she walked on campus. Officers immediately checked the area but could not find anyone fitting the description. Disp: Inactive.

12:02 pm SMOKE/ODOR INVESTIGATION: There was a smell of smoke in the back stairwell of Whitehouse Hall. Officers arrived and found that the odor was from melted plastic in a microwave. Disp: Cleared.

9:21 pm NOISE COMPLAINT: A report of loud noise at Briton Apartments. Officers spoke with the occupants of a room and they complied and turned down the noise. Disp: Cleared.

March 8th

9:22 am HARASSMENT: A report of a male who was making inappropriate comments to the female students as they walked by. Officers immediately checked the area, but could not find anyone fitting the description. Disp: Inactive.

10:24 am SUSPICIOUS PERSON: A report of someone standing at the back door of Wesley Hall, and acted like they were waiting for someone to walk out so he could get in. Before officers could arrive, he was seen on camera going in the east back door and up the stairs. Disp: Inactive.

March 11th

5:01 pm CITY PROPERTY CONFISCATION: Officers noticed a stop sign in the window of Sigma Nu. It was removed and brought back to the Campus Safety Office. Disp: Cleared

March 12th

8:32 am  REQUESTED TO LEAVE CAMPUS/BARRED:  A staff member reported that a male had yelled inappropriated comments to her, while she was walking on campus.  Officers found the man, ADPS identified him and he was barred from campus. Disp: Closed (Criminal). 

3:21 pm  HARASSMENT:  The incident occurred between a student and staff member on March 8th at a gas station. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

March 16th

8:59 am  NOISE COMPLAINT:  A student at Wesley Hall reported an alarm clock had been going off for the past hour and no one had shut it off.  Officers found the room, no one was inside and the clock was unplugged. Disp: Cleared.

March 17th

9:45 pm  HARASSMENT:  Incident occurred between roommated at Mitchell Tower, after a disagreement. Disp: Cleared.

11:23 pm  ASSIST ADPS:  ADPS was notified by the hospital that a student had said he was beaten up at a fraternity party and refused to give his name.  Officers did a walkthrough of all fraternities  but there were no large groups or parties in the area. Disp: Inactive.

March 18th

3:00 am  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  Officers found a picnic table and construction barricade place on top of the rock on the Quad.  The items were removed. Disp: Cleared.

5:00 pm  VEHICLE ACCIDENT:  The Campus Safety vehicle was rear ended on Newburg Road. Disp: Cleared.

8:18 pm  ILLEGAL DRUG VIOLATION:  A report of the smell of marijuana at Whitehouse Hall.  Officers arrived but there was no odor found. Disp: Cleared.

8:50 pm  MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY:  A students tire was slashed while it was parked on Erie Street in front of Sigma Chi. Disp: Inactive.

March 19th

1:20 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  There was a possible fraternity pledge activity that had taken place on the library bridge, without permission.  A student at the library said it looked like they had been doing a "Harlem Shake" video.  The cameras were checked and it appeared they were making a video. Disp: Cleared.

March 20th

5:16 pm  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  A student reported seeing a man near Wesley Hall, just watching people coming and going for awhile.  Officers arrived and checked thea area but found no one that matched the description. Disp: Cleared. 

9:39 pm  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  A report from the Library about a man who was leaving but had been asking people for money and their personal information.  Officers saw him walking west on Cass Street towards town. Disp: Closed (Criminal).

March 23rd

2:51 am  DISTURBANCE:  Incident occurred between roommates in Whitehouse Hall. Disp: Cleared.

9:16 pm  VEHICLE ACCIDENT:  A college vehicle bumped into a car while parked in front of the theatre in Marshall.  There was minor damage to the car. Disp: Cleared.

9:56 pm  SMOKE/ODOR INVESTIGATION:  A student called about others smoking hooka in the Ingham Annex.  Officers spoke with them and they moved it outside.  They were smoking tobacco.Disp: Cleared.

March 25th

10:39 am  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  The library called about a subject they believe had stolen books a couple of weeks ago and is now at the library  bridge.  Officers identified the student and it is not the same person. Disp: Unfounded.

March 26th

9:24 pm  ILLEGAL DRUG VIOLATION:  Incident occurred at Whitehouse Hall. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

March 28th

9:26 pm  HARASSMENT:  A student was receiving unwanted phone calls and text messages from another student. Disp: Cleared.

March 29th

4:21 pm  HARASSMENT:  A student noticed that she was being followed by a male, while walking on campus.  He began asking her questions and when she said she had a boyfriend, he left. Disp: Cleared.

11:17 pm  SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE:  A city resident reported a van parked crooked in Lot 15 and the flashers were on.  Officers found it belonged to a student.  Officers spoke with the student and she said she had run out of gas and friends helped her push it into the lot. Disp: Cleared.

12:41 am  SMOKE/ODOR INVESTIGATION:  There was a report of a possible marijuana odor in Wesley Hall.  Officers were unable to detect any odor. Disp: Cleared.

9:56 am  MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY:  A student was parked in Lot 28 and a tire was slashed on his vehicle . Disp: Inactive. 

April 3rd

12:28 am  ILLEGAL DRUG VIOLATION:  Incident occurred at Mitchell Towers. Disp: Inactive.

2:54 pm  SMOKE/ODOR INVESTIGATION:  There was a possible smell of marijuana in the stairwell at Whitehouse Hall.  Officers arrived and the smell was only in that area.  All the halls checked clear. Disp: Cleared.

7:53 pm  SMOKE/ODOR INVESTIGATION:  There were two reports of the smell of marijuana at Whitehouse Hall.  Officers and staff walked the halls but could not locate the source.Disp: Cleared.

April 4th

12:33 am  SMOKE/ODOR INVESTIGATION:  There was a report of the smell of marijuana at Whitehouse Hall.  Officers walked through the halls but could not locate the source. Disp: Cleared.

6:03 pm  SMOKE/ODOR INVESTIGATION:  There was a report of a possible smell of marijuana at Whitehouse Hall.  Officers checked the halls but found no signs of the odor. disp: Cleared.

April 5th

12:08 am  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  Officers noticed an abnormal amount of steam emitting from the manhole cover near the Observatory.  Facilities checked and said it was alright for the night and would check in more detail in the morning. Disp: Cleared.

April 6th

11:05 pm  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  There was a report of two males walking around the fraternities, trying to get into one.  Officers were unable to locate them in the area. disp: Cleared.

April 7th

2:44 am  NOISE COMPLAINT:  There was a report of loud music at Sigma Chi.  Officers found nothing excessive in the area. Disp: Cleared.

8:38 am  MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY:  Officers found the Quad side spot lights knocked off their stands, near the Kellogg Center. Disp: Inactive.

4:15 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  APDS reported they had been called about a vehicle driving on the grass at Wesley Acres and someone was video taping it.  Officers met with ADPS and there were no cars found and the grass did not look disturbed. Disp: Cleared.

6:17 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A report that there was a loug "pop" noise in the Science Comples computer lab and there was now plastic floating from the ceiling.  Officers found nothing wrong in the lab and it is unknown what happened there. Disp: Cleared.

April 9th

3:50 pm  LARCENY:  A student reported that she had lost her ID card this weekend and someone had used the money that was on it. Disp: Inacitve.

April 11th

1:35 am  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  Officers observed six males walking towards the Quad, and turning over picnic tables, benches and cement cigarette cans along the way.  The group would not stop for officers, split up and went in different directions.  There was no apparent damage done to any property. Disp: Inactive. 

8:44 am  DAMAGE TO PROPERTY:  Tree limbs fell and broke windows in two vehicles that were parked in Lot 22. Disp: Cleared. 

April 12th

9:49 pm  BURGLARY:  The AXD bar was taken from the Octagon House. Disp: Closed (Administrative). 

April 13th

2:37 am  ASSIST ADPS:  ADPS saw someone looking in a window at Burns Street Apartments.  Officers arrived and found that the man was dating the student who is living there. Disp: Cleared.

7:24 am  MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY:  Graffitti was found spray painted on various sidewalks, building and signs on campus.Disp: Inactive.

April 14th

1:17 am  ALCOHOL VIOLATION:  Incident occurred in the frat alley. Disp:Closed (Administrative). 

2:26 am  DISTURBANCE:  Officers observed an argument between a guest and an unidentified student in front of Sigma Chi.  The situation was diffused and the problem resolved. Disp: Cleared.

7:05 am  ALCOHOL VIOLATION:  A student was found sleeping in Goodrich Chapel and escorted back to his room in Wesley Hall. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

April 15th

12:55 am  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A report of student on the roof at the Dow Cetner.  Officers found no one on the roof but they were at the football field.  They complied and left the area. Disp: Cleared.

5:17 pm  BURGLARY:  Items were stolen from two rooms in Delta Sigma Phi.Disp: Inactive.

9:55 pm  DISTURBANCE:  A student reported the sound of fireworks or a single gun shot in the area of Wesley Hall.  Officers arrived in the area along with ADPS.  The area was searched and a walkthrough completed in the building and they were unable to determine where the noise had come from. Disp: Unfounded.

10:17 pm  MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY:  A student brought a keycard reader/door handle unit into the Campus Safety Office.  He had found it laying  on the ground outside the Mae.  The building was found secure from the outside. Disp: Inactive.

10:44 pm  NOISE COMPLAINT:  A report of numerous people and loud music/singing on the porch of Sigma Chi.  Students were contacted and the music was turned off.  They were advised to keep the noise down and people off the porch for the remainder of the evening.  They complied. Disp: Cleared.

April 16th

12:42 am  DISTURBANCE:  Several callers reported loud noise and possible fighting in Whitehouse Hall.  Officers arrived and the problem was resolved. Disp: Cleared.

1:54 am  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION;  A report of a male and female in the mens shower at Wesley Hall.  Officers found the students in the mens bathroom and they understood that it was not acceptable behavior and that she would not do it again. Disp: Cleared

April 17th

1:37 pm  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  There were a some non-students shooting baskets in Kresge Gym and they didn't belong in the building.  Officers arrive, spoke with them and they complied and left the building. Disp: Cleared. 

4:35 pm  MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY:  A student car was keyed while parked in Lot 22. Disp: Inactive 

April 18th

4:29 pm  ASSIST ADPS:  A student was in her car and struck another vheicle while parked on the street in front of Ingham Hall.  City police took the report. Disp: Closed (Criminal).

April 19th

11:55 am  DISTURBANCE:  A report from the Bookstore that a student had hit over a book display.  He wasn't happy about the price to be given for the books he was trying to sell. Disp: Cleared.

April 20th

12:16 am  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A loud clunking noise was said to be coming from the heating system in the Herrick Center.  Officers arrived and could tell it was coming from the southwest corner.  Once inside the room, the noise stopped and they could not find the problem. Disp: Unfounded. 

9:51 am  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  Tools were found outside the Visual Arts Annex.  There was no one around so Officers put them inside the building. Disp: Cleared. 

April 21st

9:58 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A student reported that a car ran into a students car in Lot 8, and left in a hurry.  Officers checked the area and found no damage to the vehicle that was described. Disp: Cleared

April 24th

1:02 am  LARCENY FROM MOTOR VEHICLE:  An employees old sweatshirt and lunch were taken from his vehicle, while parked near Facilities. Disp: Inactive.

April 25th

10:20 am  LARCENY:  Strings of lights were taken from the dance studio floor at Kresge Gym. Disp: Unfounded.

April 26th

11:37 am  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A report of a car alarm that keeps activating in Lot 8.  Officers checked that area and there was no alarm. Disp: Cleared.

111:30 pm  NOISE COMPLAINT:  A city resident reported loud music and yelling at the Octagon House.  Officers talked with the residents and they said they would quiet down.  At 12:15 there was another complaint.  Officers found that residents were making everyone leave the house. Disp: Cleared.

April 27th

12:38 pm  NOISE COMPLAINT:  A city resident reported loud music at the fraternities.  Officers spoke with the occupants at Sigma Nu, Alpha Tau Omega and Delta Sigma Phi about keeping the volume down. Disp: Cleared.

April 28th

12:52 am  LARCENY:  A student reported items missing from her purse while at the Delta Sigma Phi party. Disp: Inactive. 

12:54 am  ALCOHOL VIOLATION:  Intoxicated students were trying to get into the Delta Sigma Phi party. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

12:59 am  ASSAULT AND BATTERY:  A student was seen yelling and threatening people at the Delta Sigma Phi party. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

2:00 am  ILLEGAL DRUG VIOLATION:  Incident occurred at Wesley Hall. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

2:28 am  ALCOHOL VIOLATION:  Incident occurred with a student in frat alley. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

2:41 am  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  Two student were found in the Kellogg Center after closing.  They complied and left the building.Disp: Cleared

4:11 am  ALCOHOL VIOLATION:  ADPS reported an intoxidated student in the front of Delta Sigma Phi.Disp: Closed (Administrative).

4:42 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A student reported someone had created a fake facebook account in her name.  There was nothing derogatory or false about her on it but ADPS was contacted.  While the student was talking with ADPS the fake page became inaccessible.Disp: Inactive.

11:14 pm  IRRESPONSIBLE STUDENT ACTION:  A report of bottle thrown from a window at Sigma Chi and there is broken glass in the street. Disp: Cleared.

April 30th

2:51 am  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A report of a possiblity of student of the Dow roof.  Officers found no one on the roof. Disp: Cleared.

9:16 am  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A drivers door was locked but standing open on a car parked in Lot 23.  The student was emailed to check the vehicle, but everything looked alright. Disp: Unfounded.

1.D1 Open Pending: Case is open and pending further follow up or investigation.

2.D2 Closed (Criminal): Case is closed by arrest or the case has been turned over to law enforcement agency.

3.D3 Closed (Administrative): Case is closed and turned over to the college judicial process.

4.D4 Cleared: Case has been investigated and it has been determined that an offense occurred, but the victim does not wish further action be taken or the case has been cleared with no further action required..

5.D5 Unfounded: Case has been investigated and determined to be non-criminal, with no evidence that a crime or policy violation occurred, and no further investigation is needed.

6.D6 Inactive: Case has been investigated but there is not enough information for further action to be taken and no further follow up information is available..

MAY 2013

 May 1st

10:45 am  SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE:  A truck was seen near the Nature Center gate on Newburg Road with garbage in the back and they may be waiting to dump it.  Officers checked the area and did not find the vehicle nor any garbage. Disp: Cleared. 

2:30 pm  ASSIST ADPS:  The Nature Center was locked and the campus was advised about a robbery at the Short Stoppe.  Messages were sent to the campus regarding the situation.

8:47 pm  DISTURBANCE:  Officers heard firecrackers coming from the exterior of Alpha Tau Omega.  Officers spoke with several people outside. Disp: Cleared.

10:13 pm  DISTURBANCE:  Loud music was heard coming from Sigma Nu.  Officers spoke with the occupants and they complied and turned down the music. Disp: Cleared.

10:38 pm  NOISE COMPLAINT:  Community member complained about loud music coming from the fraternities.  Officers spoke with members from each fraternity about their music. Disp: Cleared.

10:53 pm  IRRESPONSIBLE STUDENT ACTION:  ADPS witnessed a student throwing glass into the street from Sigma Chi. Disp: Cleared.

May 2nd

9:07 am  LARCENY FROM  MOTOR VEHICLE:  A students purse and GPS were taken from her car while parked in Lot 28. Disp: Inactive.

6:23 pm  NOISE COMPLAINT:  A warning was given to Sigma Chi about their loud music and drinking alcohol on the porch. disp: Cleared.

6:43 pm  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  A report of two males hitting on and harassing students at the Kellogg Center.  Officers arrived and were told that they had left .  They were later seen on the quad.  Officers spoke with them and they complied and left campus. Disp: Cleared.

7:00 pm  DISTURBANCE:  Several calls from Trine parents at the LACP about loud music and behavior of the fraternities. Disp: Cleared.

10:00 pm  IRRESPONSIBLE STUDENT ACTION:  A series of noise complaintes were made againt a fraternitiey with no noise detected in the area.  Officers were able to determine that some of the calls were made by another fraternity and they were identified. Disp: Closed (Administrative). 

11:45 pm  ASSIST ADPS:  ADPS notified Campus Safety that they had information about a group of subjects who were planning on possibly breaking into cars this evening.  Extra police came to the area to find the subjects and to do extra patrols.  Campus Safety did constant lot checks and monitored the lot cameras.  No suspicious activity was detected.  At 2:45 ADPS advised that the individuals were located and no crimes had been committed.  Campus Safety resumed normal patrols. Disp: Unfounded.

May 3rd

12:33 am  NOISE COMPLAINT:  A city resident reported very loud noise at Sigma Chi.  Officers attended to the matter. Disp: Cleared.

1:45 am  ALCOHOL VIOLATION: Incident occurred at Whitehouse Hall. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

3:05 pm  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  A report of a man hanging posters about a book buy back was on campus, near the Kellogg Center  The posters had been taken down.  Officers checked the quad area and there was no one found as described.Disp: Cleared.

3:30 pm  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  A report that the man from Buy Back Books was handing out flyers to students.  Officers said the van had left the campus and was at a nearby park. Disp: Cleared.

8:13 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  Two brit bikes were reported stolen from the front of Wesley Hall.  As Officers were speaking with the two students, two other student came riding the bikes back and returned them.  The bikes had been taken as a joke. Disp: Unfounded.

7:38 pm  MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY:  The lock on a room door in Whitehouse Hall had been glued shut. Disp: Inactive.

11:27 pm  NOISE COMPLAINT:  A report of loud noise at #1 The Mae.  Officers spoke with the resident and they complied and turn down the noise. Disp: Cleared.

May 5th

1:11 am  REQUESTED TO LEAVE CAMPUS/BARRED:  There was an older man trying to get into Sigma Nu.  Officers arrived and found him in front of Alpha Tau Omega.  Students said he was asking for money.  He complied and left campus.Disp: Cleared.

10:47 am  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  The cook from Sigma Chi needed to talk with someone about missing styrofoam cups, taken from the kitchen. Disp: Unfounded.

11:15 am  REQUESTED TO LEAVE CAMPUS/BARRED:  There was someone going through the dumpster at Sigma Chi.  Officers spoke with him and he complied and left campus.Disp: Cleared.

May 7th

9:16 pm  NOISE COMPLAINT:  The Fraternities were warned of their music levels and reminded them all that it is still quiet hours. Disp: Cleared.

May 8th

1:52 am  SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE:  A van was sitting in Lot 18 with the motor running, for quite awhile, with someone in it.  Officers arrived and found that a student was waiting for someone but has decided to leave. Disp: unfounded.

9:32 am  MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY:  Officers found a window broken at Sigma Nu. Disp: Inactive.

7:43 pm  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A report of people in the Dow pool after is was closed.  Officers found a swim coach and some athletes in the pool.  The coach was asked to notify Campus Safety if someone is to be there after hours. Disp: Unfounded.

May 9th

3:07 pm  ILLEGAL DRUG VIOLATION:   A report of  the possible smell of marijuana in Whitehouse Hall.  Officers arrived but the room was empty and the occupants had moved out.  There is no smell in the room but there is in the hall.  Officers were unable to determine where the smell is coming from. Disp: Cleared.

May 11th

2:43 am  MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY:  A broken window was found at Sigma Nu.Disp: Inactive.

10:17 am  MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OR PROPERTY:  There were two broken windows at Delta Sigma Phi.Disp: Inactive.

3:32 pm  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  A city resident reported someone behind Mitchell Towers near the dumpster.  Officers found that he was dumpster diving.  He complied and left campus. Disp: Cleared.

May 13th

2:56 pm  DAMAGE TO PROPERTY:  Officers found a broken window at the Old Catholic Church. Disp: Inactive.

May 15th

3:28 pm  DAMAGE TO PROPERTY:  A tree fell on a car in Lot 18.  The windshield was cracked.

May 23rd

6:26 am  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  Someone was trying to get into the Ferguson computer lab but his card would not work.  It was confirmed that he is an employee and could be let in.

May 28th

1::29 pm  SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  A resident reported someone using a metal detector in Wesley Acres.  Officers arrived and identified him.  He was not damaging any property.

May 30th

1:17 am  SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A student reported loud noise and someone knocking on the door and Burns Street Apartments..  Officers arrived and checked the building.  There was no one located and everything was alright.
