Head Coach Lisa Roschek

Lisa Roschek; Albion College women's soccer head coachLisa Roschek will be in her sixth campaign as head women's soccer coach at Albion College in 2003.

During her tenure, Roschek has taken the Albion women's soccer program to new levels, winning three Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association titles ( 2000, '01, and '02). Her teams also advanced to the NCAA playoffs in each of those years.

In Roschek's five seasons on the sideline, Albion has posted record of 65-29-3 in all matches (.686 winning percentage), and a record of 36-10-1 in MIAA matches (.777 winning percentage).

Roschek's 2000 squad finished 17-4 overall and advanced to the NCAA Regional with a 2-0 victory over Lawrence University in the first round of the NCAA tournament. 

The 2001 squad became the first MIAA team to go through the regular season undefeated. Albion advanced to the NCAA Great Lakes region final and finished with a 19-1-1 overall record. Stacey Supanich became the first Albion women's soccer player to achieve first team All-America status, and Liz Hermiller was selected to the Verizon Academic All-America third team by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Albion earned its third consecutive MIAA crown in 2002 by posting a 12-2 record in league matches. Supanich earned All-America honors for the second consecutive year, and Laurie Vance was selected to the Verizon Academic All-America third team by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Roschek spent her playing career at Kalamazoo College, where she was a four-year varsity soccer player.

Prior to coming to Albion, Roschek was the head girls' varsity coach at Plainwell High School for three years and was an assistant coach with the Kalamazoo Quest of the United Systems of Independent Soccer Leagues (USISL). Roschek received her United States Soccer Federation National “C” Coaching License in 1997 and is a member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). Her previous experience also includes coaching positions with Kalamazoo Soccer School, Kalamazoo Soccer Club, WMYSA Gazelle TKO, plus Kalamazoo Hackett and Loy Norrix High Schools.

Roschek completed work on a masters' degree in sports administration at Western Michigan University in December, 2001.
