With apologies to Major League Soccer's Columbus Crew, the Albion College women's soccer team earned the title of America's Hardest Working Team in 2007. The Britons overcame injuries and were rewarded by earning the title of Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Tournament champions by outlasting Calvin College in a penalty kick shootout.
As the 2008 season approaches, Albion is brimming with confidence. The list of returning players features the league's most valuable player in goalkeeper Caitlin Bowman as well as all-MIAA first team forward Ali Oatley and defender Chelsea Gray. The roster also includes 12 athletes who gained valuable experience as Albion charged to go 4-1-1 over the final six matches of the 2007 season while allowing just two goals in that span.
