Albion ran out of energy after winning the third set, however, as it suffered a four-set setback to the Bulldogs. Adrian won the match 25-19, 26-24, 14-25, 25-12.

Adrian served up three of its 11 aces as it jumped out to a 14-6 lead in the first set.

Caitlin Wright, Kayla Gustitus, and Caitlin McClorey pounded kills as Albion jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second set. Albion extended the margin to 11-6 as Adrian committed a pair of attack errors and Jessica Weiler produced a kill.

Adrian reeled off the next four points as Albion had two hitting errors and a ball handling error and Emily Ribant served up an ace.

Albion scored the first four points and went on to win the third set easily. The Britons hit .265 with 11 kills in 34 attempts.

McClorey finished with a fine stat line for Albion, pounding nine kills, dishing out an assist, serving up two aces, and collecting a block assist.
