Britons to Open 2012 Season on the East Coast
Wednesday, March 14, 2012
The Albion College women’s soccer team will travel to the East Coast to start the 2012 season. The Britons, under the direction of second-year coach Tammy Jolly, will compete against Centenary College and Saint John Fisher College in the Cyclone Kickoff Classic in Hackettstown, N.J.
“Playing in the Cyclone Classic will allow the Albion College women’s soccer team to compete against teams it would rarely get an opportunity to face in the Midwest,” Jolly said. “In addition these are two challenging opponents that will help prepare our young team for conference play.
“I am excited to take the Britons to another region of the country to start an exciting 2012 campaign,” she added.
In addition to playing two matches, Jolly said the Britons will take time to visit historical monuments in the New York City area.
