Women's Golf Finishes 8th in MIAA Event

Erica MazurBATTLE CREEK – Erica Mazur (Northville/Livonia Ladywood) finished her career with all-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association second team status. The senior, who was 15th on the individual leader board in the MIAA’s 36-hole championship at the Bedford Valley Country Club, posted an 85.7-stroke average in six league rounds (four MIAA Jamborees and the 36-hole championships).
Albion College finished eighth in the MIAA Championships with a 36-hole score of 753, and the Britons finished seventh in the league’s final fall standings with 2,278 strokes in the six rounds.
Morgan Reed (Brighton) was Albion’s second-best player in the MIAA Championships. She posted rounds of 88 and 96 for a 184 total.
Melissa Megerian (Rochester Hills/Rochester Adams) turned in rounds of 94 and 98 for a 192 total, and Mariah Fiorillo (Weidman/Chippewa Hills) contributed rounds of 98 and 105.
