Kettle Gains Second Runner of the Week Award

Smith photo.Albion College first-year scholar-athlete Lauren Kettle has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association’s Runner of the Week in women’s cross country for the second time this season, league publicist Greg Chandler announced Monday.

The Milford product took first place among 282 runners with a school-record performance at the Inter-Region Rumble at Oberlin, Ohio, last Saturday. She posted a time of 22:23.6 over the 6-kilometer course for her third invitational victory of the season, leading Albion to a seventh-place finish out of 33 teams in the meet.
