Klingler Runs Away With MIAA Award

Mitchell Klingler, left, has been Albion's first or second runner in the last three meets.Albion College sophomore Mitchell Klingler was named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association’s Runner of the Week in men's cross country, league publicist Greg Chandler announced Monday. A product of Coldwater who prepped at Bronson High School, Klingler led Albion to a fifth-place finish in the small college division at the Michigan Intercollegiate Championships, posting a time of 27:14 over the 8-kilometer course in Hillsdale.

He has been the Britons’ first or second runner over their last three meets.

Albion will put its national ranking on the line Saturday when it travels to Oberlin, Ohio, to compete in the Inter-Regional Rumble.
