Sophomore Kelcie Thornburg (Montrose/Hill-McCloy) hit a leadoff shot over the left field fence in the second inning of game one. Junior shortstop Sarah Caskey (Stockbridge/Stockbridge) provided the big blow in a seven-run third inning in game two with a three-run blast over the fence in left-center.

Caskey, senior third baseman Beth Striffler (Caro/Caro), and junior designated player Mandy Wilhelmi (Valparaiso, Ind./Valparaiso) collected two hits in each game. Striffler slugged a two-run triple over the right fielder's head in the third inning of game two. Caskey collected five runs batted in on the afternoon, with four coming in the nightcap.

Albion's pitchers totaled 11 strikeouts in the two games. In game one, junior Michaela Adams (Ann Arbor/Pioneer) scattered a run on four hits in five innings of work. Adams struck out five.
