Coaching StaffHead Coach Dave Egnatuk
In all, the individual achievements during Egnatuk's coaching career are numerous - 16 MIAA Most Valuable Track Performers, more than 100 all-MIAA selections, seven league records, 31 all-Americans and five NCAA Division III national champions. In 30 seasons, Egnatuk's teams have posted a 123-29 record in MIAA dual meet competition. Finishing near the top of the MIAA's final standings has almost become an annual event at Albion. Since 1978, Albion has finished either first or second in the league in all but two years. A 1971 graduate of Albion, Egnatuk returned to join the Albion staff in the fall of 1974 after receiving his M.A. degree from the University of Southern California. He also earned a M.A. degree in physical education from Eastern Michigan University in 1978. As a student at Albion, Egnatuk was a member of both the track and field and football teams. As a tailback, Egnatuk earned the distinction as the league's Most Valuable Player as a senior in 1970. His 1970 rushing total of 1,079 yards in nine contests stood as a school record for 19 seasons. Egnatuk and his wife Mary Anne, a 1976 Albion graduate, reside in Albion with their three daughters. Associate Head Coach Lance Coleman
A 1991 graduate of Albion, Coleman is among Albion's greatest track and field athletes. In addition to being named all-league four times -- twice as the most valuable athlete, he was a three-time All-American for the Britons. He still holds the Albion record in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.71 FAT and the league record of 10.5. Coleman was also an all-MIAA athlete on the football field, where he was a member of two MIAA Championship teams. Coleman also serves as an associate director of admissions for the college.
