Four Britons Shoot 80 Or Better In Ohio

Scott MerrittAlbion College’s top four players shot 80 or better Sunday as the Britons posted a 317 total – two shots off its best round of the season – to finish fifth out of eight teams in the field of the Defiance College Men’s Golf Fall Invitational. Albion finished one shot behind the third-place teams from Rochester College and Ohio Northern University and two strokes behind runner-up Tiffin University. Scott Merritt and Brent Koaches led Albion with rounds of 78 and 79, respectively. Chris Gordon and Logan Hull each posted rounds of 80. Jake Bloom, playing as an individual, tied for sixth on the individual leader board with a round of 76.

The next Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Jamboree is scheduled for Tuesday at the Milham Park Golf Course in Kalamazoo.
