Information: Tim Gough, ’07, is in his second season on the Albion College coaching staff. He will oversee the cornerbacks.
In both of his seasons on the staff, Gough directed Chris Greenwood to all-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association first team status. Greenwood gained second team All-America recognition from the D3football.com Web site after the 2010 season.
A linebacker during his playing days, Gough was an all-MIAA second team performer as the Britons won their 33rd league title in 2005. He went on to achieve first team all-league status in 2006.
Gough also received a MIAA championship ring as an outfielder on the 2004 baseball team. He finished his career as a four-year letterwinner in both sports.
A native of Jackson, Gough went on to play one season for the Muskegon Thunder of the Indoor Football League. A starter in 13 games, he led the team and finished seventh in the league in tackles.
Gough got his start in coaching in 2005 as the mentor for Jackson High School’s Mickey Mantle baseball team. He has also served as an assistant coach for the Vikings’ baseball and football programs.
He completed his master’s degree in sports management at California University of Pennsylvania in 2010.
