Thomas, Mocini snag coaching positions |

Mike Thomas, '06, who was a three-time all-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association selection while leading Albion College to league titles in 2003 and 2005, has been hired to coach the varsity boys' basketball team at Kalamazoo Central High School. It is Thomas' first job as a head coach as he most recently served an assistant coach for two years in Midland for Northwood University's men's program. In other recent alumni news, D.J. Mocini, '08, has started work as a graduate assistant coach for the men's basketball program at the University of Dayton. The Flyers, members of the Atlantic 10 Conference, posted a 23-11 record in 2007-08 and advanced to the quarterfinal round of the National Invitation Tournament.
