Women's track & field closes season at North Central

Five members of the Albion College women’s track & field team completed the 2005 season at the North Central College Invitational.NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Five members of the Albion College women’s track & field team completed the 2005 season at the North Central College Invitational.
Junior Emily Ott (Northville/Northville) competed in three events, finishing fourth in the javelin throw (80 feet, 1 inch), fifth in the high jump (5 feet, ¼ inch), and eighth in the triple jump (31 feet, ½ inch). Senior Sarah Enfield (Williamston/Williamston) placed fourth in the shot put (40 feet, 6 ¾ inches), and freshman Danielle Ruffin (Aurora, Ill./Illinois Math and Science Academy) was eighth in the shot put with a season-best mark of 37 feet, 5 inches.
Senior Kaitlin Van Patten (Grand Rapids/East Grand Rapids) closed her career by completing the 400-meter hurdles in 1:08.77. Freshman Jenna Morse (Belding/Belding) threw the discus 124 feet, good for eighth place. Freshman Shadawn Vernon (Bolinbrook, Ill./Hinsdale South) raced to her fastest time of the season in the 100-meter hurdles at 16.94 seconds.
