Bobby Lee
Sports Information Director
Bobby Lee became the sports
information director at Albion College in the summer of 2001. He oversees athletic publicity functions at
Albion, which include design and development of athletic publications,
coordination of sports photography, and updating of game, season and
career statistics for teams and individuals. Lee also handles
day-to-day releases for media use, including writing of game stories and
special features, as well as provide hometown release information on
Albion's 300-plus student-athletes.
Lee came to Albion after serving four years as
sports information director at Muskingum (Ohio) College. A graduate of Ohio
University, Lee gained additional experience working in the Ohio State
University athletic publicity department as a graduate student before
moving to the Muskingum SID position in 1997.
As a Muskie, Lee was in charge of publicity for 17
varsity sports. He served as the host SID for three NCAA regional and
seven Ohio Athletic Conference championship events. At Ohio State, Lee
was the editor of the Buckeyes' football and men's and women's
basketball programs that received publication awards from the College
Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Lee receives office support from sports
information assistant Ross Weener. Weener helps maintain
the sports information web site, and also serves as an athletics game
manager for home sports events.
