Head Coach Scott Carden
The 2004 baseball team posted a 14-4 record against MIAA foes to clinch Albion's first league title since 1996 and its first NCAA Regional Tournament appearance since 1982. Two Britons were selected to the all-MIAA first team, while another three earned a position on the all-MIAA second team. Carden is a graduate of Macomb Lutheran North High School and Bowling Green State University. At Bowling Green, Carden was a catcher on the Falcons' 1995 and '98 Mid-American Conference championship teams. He earned a bachelor of arts and sciences degree in comprehensive science/secondary education with a minor in chemistry in 1998. Carden came to Albion in the fall of 2001 as an assistant women's basketball coach. He added the position of assistant baseball coach in 2003, before being named skipper. With Carden's help, the Albion women's basketball program established a single-season school record for most wins in a season during the 2003-04 campaign. From 1998 to 2001, Carden taught physical science and chemistry at L'Anse Creuse High School. Updated October 07, 2004 by Albion College Sports Information |
