Albion drops one-run game at Spring Arbor

SPRING ARBOR, Mich. - Seniors Mark Flancbaum (Orchard Lake/West Bloomfield) and Mike Cieszkowski (Howell/Hartland) collected two hits apiece, but it wasn't enough to lift the Albion College baseball team to victory in a non-league game against Spring Arbor University Tuesday.

The host Cougars scored runs in the third, fourth, fifth, and seventh innings to claim a 4-3 victory over the Britons.

Cieszkowski and juniors Chris Trott (Plymouth/Salem) and David Seales (Alma/Alma) drove in runs for Albion.

Albion (12-10 overall) returns to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association action Friday, April 9, when it begins a three-game series at Kalamazoo College. Friday's nine inning game starts at 4 p.m. Saturday's doubleheader of seven inning games is set for a 1 o'clock start.
