Gough's
two-run single lifts Albion
to three-game sweep over Tri-State

ALBION, Mich. - Junior catcher Mike Gough
(Newport/Monroe St. Mary's) delivered a two-run single in the sixth
inning and junior pitcher David Seales (Alma/Alma) worked his
second complete game of the season to lift the Albion College baseball
team to a 2-0 victory over Tri-State (Ind.) University at Frank Joranko
Field.
Albion swept the three-game series from Tri-State and
improved to 10-7 on the year. The Britons continue the homestand
Tuesday, March 30, with a nine-inning game against Kellogg Community
College.
Albion collected 10 hits against Tri-State, but Gough
was the only Briton to collect two hits. Seniors Mike Cieszkowski
(Howell/Hartland) and Matt Shook (Coldwater/Coldwater) came
around to score on Gough's sixth-inning hit.
Tri-State managed just three hits and two walks off
Seales, who pushed his season record to 1-3. Seales struck out six
batters.
