to three-game sweep over Tri-State

» GAME STATISTICS

ALBION, Mich. - Junior catcher Mike Gough (Newport/Monroe St. Mary's) delivered a two-run single in the sixth inning and junior pitcher David Seales (Alma/Alma) worked his second complete game of the season to lift the Albion College baseball team to a 2-0 victory over Tri-State (Ind.) University at Frank Joranko Field.

Albion swept the three-game series from Tri-State and improved to 10-7 on the year. The Britons continue the homestand Tuesday, March 30, with a nine-inning game against Kellogg Community College.

Albion collected 10 hits against Tri-State, but Gough was the only Briton to collect two hits. Seniors Mike Cieszkowski (Howell/Hartland) and Matt Shook (Coldwater/Coldwater) came around to score on Gough's sixth-inning hit.

Tri-State managed just three hits and two walks off Seales, who pushed his season record to 1-3. Seales struck out six batters.
