Online Registration
IMPORTANT: Please read the following
guidelines carefully before registering for SOAR.
All New Students Must Attend SOAR
Each new student is required to attend one of the SOAR sessions in order
to enroll for the fall semester. A parallel program is offered for
parents/families and is completely optional. Parents/family members may
participate in all or portions of the SOAR program.
Required General Deposit
Your $300 general deposit must be paid to the Admissions Office to
confirm your intention to enroll. You cannot be placed in a SOAR
session until the deposit is paid. If you have not yet paid this deposit,
it can be sent to:

Special Physical and/or Dietary Needs
If the student or any member of the student's family who will be
attending has special dietary or physical needs, please contact the SOAR Program Office
at 517/629-0433, or via e-mail at
soar@albion.edu.
Student SOAR Registration Cost
There is no cost for each entering student participant. The student's
meals and other program expenses are covered by Albion College.
Parent/Family Registration Cost
The educational/informational sessions of the Parent Program is also
offered at no cost. Because the Parent Program is optional, lunch
costs for parents/family members are the responsibility of the
parents/family members. Costs for parents/families will vary
depending upon the number of parents/family members attending.
Parent/Family Lodging Options
For those participants who may not be in the local geographical area and
may need overnight accommodations, there are several options for lodging
options in the area. A small number of rooms are available at our
on-campus conference facilities, Bellemont Manor and Haven House. For cost and availability please call 517/629-0365. For
more traditional off-campus lodging options, visit our list of local hotels, motels
and bed and breakfasts.
Parent/Family Registration
We encourage all parents/family members to register for the SOAR for
Parents program whether they are selecting on on-campus lunch option or
not. Special Note:
Currently the online registration system will only register
parents/family members residing at a single address (it does not have to be
the same as the student's address). If your family situation is such
that parents/family members who will be attending SOAR reside at more
than one address, please register one parent/or set of parents in the
online registration. When your online registration is complete, please
contact the SOAR Program Office at 517/629-0433 or via email at
soar@albion.eduto register those
parents/family members who were not included with the online
registration.
Register Now!
All SOAR registrations will be processed on a first-come, first-served
basis. Registrants will be asked to provide their first, second, and
third choices for SOAR. Sessions will close as they reach capacity.
Please do
not assume that you will be placed in your first choice session (see
registration confirmation below). However, the SOAR Program will
do our best to match you to your highest preference, taking into account
space availability.
Registration Confirmation
You will receive onscreen confirmation that your information has been
submitted to the SOAR Program Office when you complete your online registration. The SOAR
Office will then process your registration and match
you to your preference of SOAR sessions as outlined above.
A written confirmation will be sent to you via U.S. mail detailing
the SOAR session to which you have been assigned. Most registrations are
processed within two days after being submitted. Please allow time for
processing and delivery of your written confirmation by U.S. mail. If you
feel that you have not received a confirmation by mail in a timely
manner, please contact the SOAR Program Office at 517/629-0433, or via
e-mail at
soar@albion.edu.
There are two ways to register. If Parents and/or Guardian is
attending and they will have lunch ($9.00 per person) on campus and want
to pay by credit card, please use the purple registration below.
With this first option to complete the registration you must submit a
credit card to finish the registration process. If Parents and or
Guardian is attending, having lunch but wishes to pay by check or cash
(on site), or if student is attending without Parent or Guardian, please
use the yellow/gold registration below. Both of these forms are
the same, with the exception of the purple registration will not process
unless a credit card number submitted.
