Alpha Pi Wins Anchorsplash

March 3rd, 2008

Delta Gamma's annual philanthropy event, Anchorsplash, was held this last week with the synchronized swimming event finishing out the week on Saturday. The Alpha Pi Sigs pulled off an upset to beat Delta Sigma Phi, ending their winning streak of 6 years. Over 40 Sigs and pledges participated in the event, which was the largest of any fraternity on campus. Special recognition to Brothers Ben Landry, Chad Petherick, and the coaches from Delta Gamma, who choreographed the entire routine. A video of the routine can be found here on Youtube.

In other news, pledgeship began two weeks ago. Twenty-three rushees signed bids to Sigma Chi, more than any house on campus by nine.

New Year

Janurary 14th, 2008

The new website is finally up and running. A few pages/profiles are still missing but they will be up shortly. If a page doesn't show up or doesn't look right, refresh the page and that should fix the problem. Updates are going to be frequent for the next couple weeks so there will be some problems with the site. We are working those out as quickly as possible.

The spring semester begins in a week, and we are hosting this year's Provincial Workshop on February 9th. More information on Provincial will be posted as soon as possible. The Provincial page can be found here.

Fall Semester

December 7th, 2007

Fall Semester came to a close today with the ending of finals. The semester was successful for everyone, and we are hoping to improve our house GPA even higher than last semester. Two of our Brothers, Jonny Clark and Lance Geddes, are leaving us and we are sad to see them go. Jonny has finished his semester of student teaching, and is now a fully certified teacher, and Lance has transferred to Michigan Tech to better pursue his career ideas. We wish them both the best of luck.
