What is Derby Days?
Derby Days is Sigma Chi’s week long, annual, philanthropy event. Throughout the week we will be hosting activities and contests to raise money and awareness for the Huntsman Cancer Institute. More information on HCI can be found at the Huntsman Cancer Institute's website (click on the logo to the left). All sorority participation will be worth points and a grand prize will be awarded to the winner. Good luck!!! All proceeds will be donated to the Huntsman Cancer Institute.

This year we raised over $3,000 for the Huntsman Cancer Institute. This was first year that all proceeds went to Huntsman. The Albion College Varsity Men's Soccer team closed out with a victory against Tri-State on Saturday, and the week came to a close with Landry (Ben Landry, Tommy Kawel, Max Landry, and Jackson Landry) playing a show at the Sigma Chi house. Homecoming was also the same weekend that Derby Days ended on.
2006
Derby Days was from September 25 - 30
Amount Raised: $4,800Derby Days Winner: Kappa Alpha Theta
Derby Darling: Michelle D'Orazio
Powderpuff Winner: Alpha Chi Omega
We raised around $4,800, topping our last year's total of $4,531. A large part of the success of this week was due to Derby Daddy Bryan Hayes '07, and his efforts to add to what is already a thriving philanthropy event. He brought back events such as the Derby Chase, where sorority girls chased down Sigs all over campus to steal their Derby hats for points. Pie-a-Sig was also held in front of the Kellogg Center to raise more money. To top off the week, a charity concert was held at the house featuring Landry, headlined by our own brothers Ben Landry '09 and Tommy Kawel '09.
