The Iota Pi chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota was chartered on April 17th, 1943 and has been continuously active since that time. Our chapter is part of the Alpha B province, Region IV. The Iota Pi chapter's membership usually numbers around 35 members, each sister contributing to a consistently strong membership that is very active in Albion's music department and campus. The chapter participates in many service projects around campus and in the Albion community, including volunteering at Kids 'n Stuff Children's Museum in downtown Albion, fundraising for SAI Philanthropies, Inc. through serenade sales each semester, ushering music department recitals, and teaching at the Albion Community Music School. Iota Pi recruits the finest of Albion's female musicians each year through all facets of the music department; Iota Pi's members represent every ensemble, many instruments and voices, many home states. Iota Pi aslo boasts several international student musicians, coming from Germany, China, and the Bahamas.
