Dean Hall is a cooperative residence for upper-class women who are interested in a more independent living arrangement than is available through the traditional residence halls. The cooperative living arrangement is based on full participation in house duties (including meal preparation), respect for each resident of Dean Hall, and individual responsibility for the betterment of the Dean Hall experience.
Selection of residents is made by a committee consisting of the current Dean Hall president, the Dean Hall Resident Assistant, and representatives from the Office of Residential Life. An applicant must be in good academic and social standing to be considered.
Community Area
Dean Hall has similar community areas to a normal residential house
including living room, dining room, basement and front yard area.
These locations are great to students to socialize or study.
Laundry facilities are provided in Dean Hall.
Bedroom Furnishings
Each double room is equipped with two beds, two desks & chairs, two closets,
one chest of drawers, a telephone with access to the College voice mail system,
cable TV hookup, Internet connection, and draperies or mini blinds. All College
furniture must remain in the student's room for the duration of the academic
year.
Bed Lofts
Lofts are not allowed in this area.
College Board Plan
Students residing in this housing
option are required to be on the Dean Hall Board Plan. Rates are established yearly by the members of the house.
Computer Labs
There is one computer and one printer located in the living room
area of Dean Hall.
