Briton House Apartments are College owned student apartments for upper-class students who are interested in living in a more independent environment than our traditional residence halls. Residents are responsible for the housekeeping of their individual apartments.
Located at the corner of Erie and Huron Streets, these two bedroom and one bath apartments house four students. There are a total of six apartments. Each apartment is furnished with 2 love seats, a coffee table, cable TV hook-up, and dining room furniture. Each apartment has a kitchen equipped with a stove, sink with garbage disposal, dishwasher, and a refrigerator. Students should plan to bring their own pots, pans, plates, etc. Campus and U.S. Mail is delivered to mailboxes in the Kellogg Center.
Each set of two apartments shares a utility space offering laundry facilities and limited storage. Students interested in this option must apply in groups of four during the room selection and lottery process. Students must be in good academic and social standing when applying for this housing option.
Community Area
The community space for the Briton House Apartments is limited.
Two apartments share laundry facilities. The front yard is also an
area where students can gather and enjoy the great weather.
Bedroom Furnishings
Each double room is equipped with two beds, two desks & chairs, closet,
one chest of drawers, a telephone with access to the College voice mail system,
Internet connection, and mini-blinds. All College
furniture must remain in the student's room for the duration of the academic
year.
Bed Lofts
Lofts are not allowed in this area.
College Board Plan
Students
residing in this housing option
are not required to be on the College Board Plan. If
desired, students may arrange for the
purchase of a College Board Plan.
Computer Labs
There are no computer labs in these buildings. For students
requiring access to a computer, the Ferguson Building computer lab is
open 24 hours a day.
