Mitchell Towers

Mitchell Towers is located on the corner of Mingo and Jackson streets. Mitchell is a suite-style residence hall, meaning two double-occupancy rooms are connected by a common bathroom (four people share a bathroom). Mitchell Towers has four floors per tower, and there are two towers within the entire complex. Mitchell Towers houses 233 returning sophomore to senior-status students.
Each room has a bed, three-drawer dresser, desk and desk chair, bookcase/shelf, closet with doors, and a network connection per student. Each room also has a telephone and cable TV hookup. All college furniture must remain in the room throughout the entire academic year.
Students are required to clean their bathroom and bedroom, but Albion College cleans the other common areas (lounges, public restrooms, kitchenettes, etc). In the basement of Mitchell there is a full kitchen for students to use and prepare meals, but there are no cooking supplies, therefore students are encouraged to bring what they need and clean up after themselves.
Mitchell is a community-centered building. Each tower is designed in a large circle of rooms with the floor’s common areas located in the center and rooms lining the perimeter. The two towers are connected by a common entrance on the first floor.
During Room Selection, students must apply in groups of four (same gender) for this housing option.
