Residence Hall Staff

Residence Hall Directors

Residence Hall Directors (RDs) are professional staff members, who have received a Masters degree and live in one of the major buildings (Wesley, Mitchell, and Whitehouse/Seaton) and manage all student residences. Living in the halls, RDs are able to make personal connections with students. These professionals are trained to assist students and respond to crises. On a rotation basis, one RD is on-call 24 hours a day for the entire campus. While on-call the RD can be reached in their office, cell phone, or through Campus Safety to assist the Resident Assistants and/or to assist students.

Resident AssistantsResident Assistants (RAs) are student staff members who live on the floors with students in each residence hall. RAs are trained in crisis management, peer listening, and community development. They are a great resource for campus information. An RA is on-duty every night from 8:00 P.M. until 8:00 A.M. in each residential area. While on-duty, RAs do periodic rounds through their area and are available to assist students.

If you are interested in becoming an RA, look for publicity in the middle of January or contact the Office of Residential Life.
