ALBION COLLEGE REPUBLICANS FEATURE STORY ![]() ACCRs are in Action at Students for Bush Kickoff!
Jon Minjoe, ACCRs PR Chair - November 24, 2003:
This Saturday, November 22nd our college republican group, and many others, assembled at the Big House in Ann Arbor for
the 100th game between U of M and Ohio State. More importantly, it marked the nation-wide kick off of the Students for
Bush campaign. The event, entitiled "Kickoff '04 Bush" brought out many Republicans, including State Attorney General Mike
Cox and Michigan Chief Justice Corrigan, to help score a touchdown for our President!
The day was memorable, with much work getting done. How can event go wrong when it has a 48 feet of sub sandwiches?! The 150+ volunteers that assembled helped hand out "W." Bumper stickers, footballs, signs, shirts, and much much more! The rally enabled us to help spread Conservatism to all the fans we came in contact with. This is just one of many events planned for George W. Bush's campaign in the coming months. There are seven more "Kickoff '04 Bush" events in the works, including at the BCS game in Louisiana. However, it was an amazing feeling to be part of the start of what is sure to be an amazing campaign. The Wolverines weren't the only team that came out with win on Saturday, and our victory is sure to lead to a victory for W. in '04! |
