I arrived at the Psychology Department at Albion College in the fall of 1999, after 15 years at Indiana-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW). The move to Albion was a return to my academic roots (i.e., small liberal arts colleges); I did my undergraduate work at Haverford and Bryn Mawr Colleges.

serve as Secretary/Treasurer of the
Pavlovian
Society, an international group founded in 1955 and dedicated to the
objective study of behavior.
I am a founding member of
Faculty for Undergraduate Neuroscience (FUN), a national group that supports and encourages research and education in neuroscience at the undergraduate level.
