The search for the future president of Albion College has been a continuing process throughout the semester. The most recent meeting of the Presidential Search Committee was held on Oct. 27 and a framework for evaluating the applicants’ attributes was refined.
Over 2,000 search profiles have been distributed nation-wide to inform selected individuals of the search process and to invite their suggestions regarding the search criteria or potential applicants.
"The presidential search process is progressing in a timely manner," said Sally Walker, vice president of Student Affairs and Dean of Students. "It is enjoyable to work closely with a group of talented and dedicated trustees, faculty, staff and students to complete our important charge to assist with identifying the next Albion College President."
According to Tom Courtice, senior consultant for the Academic Search Consultation Service, the search process of finding Albion College’s next president is a confidential process that will take time, but the Albion College community will be kept informed throughout the entire process.
The Presidential Search Committee is planning on having another meeting near the end of November to review potential applicants and to begin reducing the applicant pool.
Members of the Albion College community are encouraged to contact Courtice if they have any questions regarding the search or if they have any information pertaining to potential candidates. Courtice can be reached at
