Chart topping O.A.R. (Of a Revolution) will perform at Albion College on Monday, April 23 for Union Board’s annual "Big Show."

According to Justin Will, Villa Park, Ill. sophomore and Union Board’s vice president of music, O.A.R. is one of the most in-demand touring bands among college and university campuses.

"It’s been a rocky road choosing this year’s big show, but I like how it turned out," Will said.

After starting out as a local college band in 1996 at Ohio State University, O.A.R. has recorded five albums and produced hit singles such as "That was a Crazy Game of Poker," "Hey Girl," "Lay Down," and "Love and Memories," which reached as high as number two on the adult recurrent charts.

"Everyone looks forward to the ‘Big Show’ each year, and I know that being able to bring O.A.R. to Albion’s campus will be a huge hit," said Allison Webster, St. Claire Shores junior and Union Board president.

Often times, the big show is the same day as UB’s Day of Woden. However, according to UB advisor Jennifer Schreer, the show is almost two weeks earlier to work with O.A.R.’s touring schedule.

The show is a private and free event for all Albion students, faculty and staff, who will be allowed one additional ticket for a guest. It will start at 8:00 p.m. in the Dow.
