President Peter Mitchell danced with the Albion College dance team Feb. 17 at the men’s varsity basketball game in Kresge gymnasium. PTM dances with the team once every four years, so that potentially every girl on the team can dance with him.

“To do it every year would take away from the fun (and anyone who witnessed the performance could tell I’m not in the same league probably same universe with the talented dance team),” President Mitchell said in an email. “So I decided that since students change every four years then no student would remember how terrible I danced.”

He attended one practice before the performance - the same night he raced the swim team.

“When we were teaching him the dance he was very excited that he would actually be dancing and not just having people dance around him,” said Robin Aleo, Chesterfield sophomore. “He even had his favorite parts, one of which included the funky chicken.”
