Ads are not charged per word but by column inch (approx. 2 inches x 1 inch).  These are the most commonly used sizes, but other sizes are also available upon request.

The Pleiad prefers if you submit an already designed advertisement.  However, we can design an advertisement for an additional cost.

Payment can be made after publication unless another arrangement has been made.

General Terms For Advertising

1. All advertising submitted is subject to the approval of the Advertising Manager. The manager reserves the right to refuse any advertising content that does not meet the newspaper's standards, but unless otherwise authorized in advance, no change will be made without the consent of the Advertiser or Agency.

2. The Advertiser and/or Advertising Agency agree to defend and indemnify The Pleiad against any and all liability, loss, or expense arising from claims of libel, unfair competition, unfair trade practice, infringement of trademarks, trade names or patents, violations of rights privacy and infringement of copyrights and proprietary rights resulting from the publication of the Advertiser's advertisement.

3. The Pleiad shall not be liable for slight changes or typographical errors that do not decrease the value of an advertisement. Nor will The Pleiad be liable for any other errors appearing in the advertisement unless corrected copy is received before the copy deadline with corrections clearly noted thereon. Liability, where there is any, is limited to the cost of the ad in question.

4. Advertisers and Agencies forwarding orders to The Pleiad that contain incorrect rates or conditions are hereby advised that the advertising called for will be inserted and charged at the regular rate schedule and conditions in force at the time published.
