Public Observing

Join us on the roof of the Palenske Building and in our historical observatory in the Honors Building for star and planet viewing on selected nights and days this year.

The telescopes will be open to the campus community and the public for viewing celestial objects, weather permitting.

Tentative schedule (2009):
          July 21: Night Sky Observing, 10:15 pm to midnight
          October 3 (Homecoming): Solar Observing, 3:30 - 5 pm
          November 14 (Family Day): Solar Observing, 3 - 4 pm, Palenske Roof
                                                  Night Observing, 7 - 8 pm, Palenske Roof
                                                  Night Observing, 7 - 8 pm, Alvan Clark, Quad

      

The Alvan Clark telescope is located near the center of the Albion College Quadrangle. Palenske Hall is located on East Michigan Avenue, just east of Hannah Street.
