One-Hundred Years of Physics

The Physics Department at Albion College will celebrate 100 Years of Physics instruction during Homecoming 2004.  In perusing our archives, we have rediscovered that the Physics department officially separated from the Chemistry department in 1904, so we're throwing a party.  We will host an open house between 8:30 and 10:30 on Saturday, October 23, and will also have a post-game reception.  Both events will be held in Epworth Hall, to which the department has been temporarily relocated while the new Science Complex is under construction.

On this page are some pictures we found in our college archives.  We have identified the names of people that we know, but some we cannot identify.  If you know of the names of any of the unidentified people or if you have old pictures, documents, or stories that you would like to share, please feel free to send the information to Dave Seely, Physics Chair (dseely@albion.edu, 517-629-0267).
