English professor Helena Mesa shares poetry with reading |

Albion's newest tenured English faculty member, Helena, Mesa, shares her work with a local audience Thursday, April 16, at 5 p.m. in the College International House Auditorium.
Born and raised in Pittsburgh by Cuban parents, Mesa is the author of Horse Dance Underwater, a collection of poems. She is also the co-editor for Mentor & Muse: From Poets to Poets (Southern Illinois University Press, 2010). Her poems have appeared in various literary journals, including Barrow Street, Bat City Review, Indiana Review, Pleiades, and Third Coast. She holds an M.F.A. from the University of Maryland and a doctorate from the University of Houston.
