Empty Bowls Combats Hunger with Albion College Print E-mail

Albion College’s Secular Humanist Group, Art Club, and ceramic students join forces to bring the Empty Bowls dinner to the Albion community, along with a donation from Albion College's Umbrella group. The event takes place on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 5 p.m. in Tennant Hall of the Albion’s First United Methodist Church. Doors open at 4:45 p.m.

The menu features a soup-based meal served in one-of-a-kind bowls, made by ceramics students at Albion College. The bowl is included in the purchase price of a dinner ticket. There will be entertainment at the dinner, and all proceeds will be donated to a local food bank through United Way.

Tickets for Empty Bowls are $8, which includes dinner and a bowl to keep. Tickets can be purchased at the door but reservations are strongly encouraged, and can be made by contacting organizer Katherine Dever at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it   or 517/630-2183.
