Delta Tau Deltas Recognized for Philanthropic Effort
Albion College Delta Tau Delta's fall fundraiser turned out to be a smash with the editors of E-Rainbow, the fraternity's national magazine. Albion's mascot, Brit, and several DTD members made the cover of the current issue and are featured in the cover story on DTD philanthropy.
"Delt is very excited about this," said chapter President Varun Badinarth. "This may be the first time we made the cover in the 20 or so years of the magazine's production."
The photo was taken during Albion's Homecoming weekend, when DTD sponsored a "car smash," selling tickets for the opportunity to take a sledgehammer to a car. The event raised nearly $450 for the DTD national philanthropy, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. "It went very well, given the size of our campus and the rainy weather," said Badinarth. "This took place on Homecoming, so numerous alumni donated, too."
