Albion College students strut their stuff with the annual Drag Show, to be held Thursday, October 11, at 8 p.m. in the Kellogg Center. This event is part of the College's Coming Out week series of events intended to promote awareness and understanding of citizens with different sexual orientations.
The show features members of the College's LGBriTS, an organization that promotes acceptance of differences among all members of the Albion College community.
This year's Drag Show will also raise funds for the Albion District Library's young adult literature collection, in order to add books addressing LGBT themes and including lesbian and gay characters. "This is an outreach for our community and youth in the area," said Rainbow Weldon, global diversity student leadership coordinator for the College.
This event is free although donations will be accepted. For more information, contact Weldon at 517/629-0501 or .
