Albion College's unique information packet for prospective students recently also caught the attention of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), an international professional organization for education administration. CASE awarded Albion a 2012 Circle of Excellence Silver Award for its "32 Essential Albion College Experiences" student recruitment piece.
"What stands out to me is the level of competition," said John Thompson, Albion College's associate vice president for marketing. "It's good to be recognized in that company."
"Essential Experiences" was designed by Columbus, Ohio-based Ologie, a brand design/marketing firm that has been working with Albion College since the spring of 2011. The packet of 32 cards presents a wide variety of information in a format that allows students to quickly locate items of special interest.
"The feedback we've received is on how cool 'Essential Experiences' is," said Mandy Dubiel, Albion College director of admission. "The students like the separate cards and the fact that it's delivered in a gold envelope makes it a special piece. It's cool and it gets our message across in an effective and interesting way."
