Housing Options if I am a Rising Junior
To be considered a Junior-level student you must have between 14.00 and 21.49 units by the start of Fall 2014 classes. Please read through the 2014-2015 Room Selection Eligibility page for more information regarding qualifications for participating in room selection.
During room selection, senior-status students are able to apply for College-owned apartments. There are four apartment options that range from two to six person. No one group is guaranteed an apartment. Selection is solely based upon the combined sum of the group members' lottery numbers. Language students have the opportunity to hone their language skills by residing with native speakers and other students in their major or minor. Residents also participate in cultural activities open to the campus community.
Ingham Hall is a small residence hall housing 13 women of junior and senior status. There are five double-occupancy rooms that are available during the room selection process. Mitchell Towers and Whitehouse Hall are two residence halls within the "suite-style" housing option. Both halls have two double-occupancy bedrooms connected by a common bathroom (gender specific). There are common areas on each floor that offer opportunities for studying or socializing. Within each hall, Residential Life student staff work to create thriving communities. Students residing in Mitchell Towers and Whitehouse Hall are required to be on the College Board Plan.
Students must sign up in groups of four for this housing option. Selection is based upon the group's combined (sum) lottery number.
General Room Selection
The general room selection is the final phase of the room selection process. The rooms available for selection during this phase are determined at the completion of all other phases and are based on the remaining students' need for housing assignments balanced with the need for space to assign housing to the incoming first-year class. A selected number of returning students will be assigned to Wesley Hall during this process. The available Seaton Hall rooms are currently being set aside for incoming first-year students.
