Albion Celebrates Inaugural Crupi Poetry Contest
Albion College's English Department announces its inaugural Charles Crupi Memorial Poetry Contest event Friday, April 20, at 4:45 p.m. in the Bobbitt Visual Arts Center.
The event will include refreshments and presentation of poetry and poets. Some of the high school poets will attend to read their prizewinning pieces.
One of Albion's most popular professors for some 35 years, Crupi retired from the faculty in 2009, passing away in 2010. During his long tenure as the English department chair, Crupi established the Michigan High School Poetry Contest, now renamed in his honor.
