Orchestra Closes Year with Student Spotlights

Albion College's Symphony Orchestra assistant conductor and a senior vocal major are featured performers in the orchestra's last concert, Sunday, April 22, at 4 p.m. in Goodrich Chapel.

Principal oboist Lucas Florin, who also serves as the orchestra's assistant conductor, takes the podium for Howard Hanson's Symphony No. 2, a piece chosen to demonstrate his development as a conductor. Senior Bekah Kroesing, winner of the orchestra's Concerto Competition, performs two classical arias. The concert concludes with Nielsen's Helios Symphony.
