Odd Topics Hits Florida's Folk Scene
"The Alternate Greenwich Village" folk music scene in Coconut Grove, Florida, is the subject for presenter Ralph Houghton Wednesday March 28 at 12 p.m. in Albion's Mary Sykes Room. Houghton's presentation is the March Odd Topics Society Luncheon, open to the public.
Houghton, who has worked for Albion College's Information Technology division for 15 years, plays everything from bluegrass to light jazz and early rock along with folk music. He plays the upright bass, guitar and psaltery and enjoys playing with a variety of groups and friends.
