Detroit Interfaith Activists Share WISDOM
"Five Women, Five Journeys" shares a uniquely inspiring women's project based on interfaith activity in Detroit. Leaders of the group present their stories and vision's for Detroit's future Thursday, March 15, at 6 p.m. in Albion College's Norris Science Center Towsley Hall.
Women's Interfaith Solutions for Dialogue and Outreach in MetroDetroit (WISDOM) has members and leaders from a number of different faith backgrounds, all interested in supporting revitalization in the Detroit area. Traveling to Albion will be speakers from Baha'i, Christian, Jewish, Muslim, and Hindu backgrounds, including Sunonda Samaddar, a 1998 Albion alumna.
In 2010, the group published a book, "The WISDOM of Women Creating Alliances for Peace." The book will be available at the program.
