Albion Open to Swarms for Annual Beekeeping School

Albion College will be abuzz with beekeeping lovers from across the state on Saturday, February 25, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for Albion’s annual Beekeeping School held on campus.
Classes will focus on the basics of honeybee keeping. Participants learn about the social and physical structure of the honeybee, hive care and maintenance, what equipment to use and where to purchase supplies. Participants also get the chance to ask the experts and visit several local bee vendors. Hives and supplies will be available to purchase and/or order.
