Personal Metabolism, Performance Tips Offered in Wellness Presentations
Couch potatoes and gym rats alike get solid personal information on metabolism and exercise nutrition through two programs at Albion College this week. "What's Your Metabolism Got to Do with It?" is offered Wednesday February 1, at 7 p.m. in Albion College's Baldwin Hall. "The Power of Food in Performance" is discussed Thursday February 2, at noon and again at 8 p.m. in Baldwin Hall. The 8 p.m. session February 2 is specifically intended for competitive athletes of all sorts.
The programs will be led by Terri Brownlee, regional director of nutrition for Bon Appétit Management Company, food service providers for Albion College. A registered dietician, brownlee will answer individual questions for everyone from competitive athletes to casual exercisers. The programs are intended to help individuals assess their personal calorie needs and use that information to create exercise and weight loss plans.
