The charming story of the young boy Apu and his Brahmin family, living in 1920s Bengal. The father, a poet and priest, cannot earn enough to keep his family going. Apu's sister, Durga, is forever stealing guavas from the neighbor's orchards. All these add to the daily struggles of Apu's mother, who must also deal with the quarrelsome aunt who lives with the family. 7 p.m., Bobbitt Auditorium
